Some places just feel like a fairytale—and Knotting Hills in St. Louis, Missouri is one of them. With its European garden charm, winding stone paths, ivy-covered walls, and soft, romantic backdrops at every turn, it’s a venue that’s been high on my list to photograph.

So when the opportunity came to capture a styled shoot on this stunning property, I knew it was going to be magic.


A Venue with European Romance in the Heart of Missouri

Knotting Hills offers the kind of old-world beauty that feels like it’s been plucked out of the countryside in France or Italy. Everything from the stone architecture to the manicured gardens evokes a sense of timelessness and romance. It’s one of those rare venues that feels intimate and expansive at the same time—where every corner feels like a curated portrait location.

As a wedding photographer based in Missouri, I’m constantly on the lookout for venues that offer both texture and soul. Knotting Hills delivers both in spades. It’s the kind of space that invites softness, emotion, and a little bit of drama—all the things that align with my moody, editorial style.
